Pacific Biosciences is seeking a talented Bioinformatics Software Developer to contribute to tools that use SMRT sequencing data to address diverse sequencing applications areas. The candidate will develop robust, reliable and performant software components that enable our customers and collaborators to rapidly get the insights they need from SMRT sequencing data. Responsibilities: - Develop bioinformatics tools for applying SMRT sequence data to a variety of applications, e.g.:- Consensus Determination- Haplotype Phasing- Transcript characterization- De-novo Genome Assembly- Contribute to analysis pipelines in the SMRT Analysis suite- Foster 3rd party development of tools using PacBio's open-source libraries
